Our Approach

Traceability and control of contaminants from log to barrel

We have set up a reliable and precise two-way traceability system.
It is based on the use of tags placed on the logs, labels placed on the stave pallets and batch numbers stamped on the barrels.

This allows us to guarantee to every client the origin, the seasoning period, the toasting specificities and the absence of any potential contamination.

This tool allows us to be very rigorous, precise and reactive in the treatment of after sales services.

PEFC

The specificities of our activity and in particular the will to promote a sustainable management of our supplies, lead us to privilege the use of staves coming from sustainably exploited forests.

Environmental policy

We make respect for the environment a priority by applying the requirements of the ISO 14 001 standard and continuously improving our environmental practices.

After months of tests and research, the Barthe Group has finally achieved what it imagined:

Our ECAU EMBALLAGE (Ecological, Compostable, Agri-Utile) was born at the end of April 2022 and all our barrels will receive it.
